As I was playing with face ideas in my sketchbook, this prehistoric theme popped up.
I wanted to play with the idea of a face made up of a prehistoric creature chasing and eating people. However, I wanted to do it in a whimsical way as I am not a fan of gore. Hands up who puts their arm over their eyes when there is a gory bit on TV?
Anyway, it all got me thinking about the idea of a lizard brain. Yes, you really do have a lizard brain. I'm not being rude, it's not just you, I've got one too. Apparently, our brains are still wired from years gone by to be alert for threats to our safety. This means that our brain overacts to things we worry about nowadays, like having to give a speech. It can treat it with the same level of stress as thinking a tiger is hiding behind a nearby tree.
Damn you lizard brain! I'm so glad I don't have a lizard tongue too, That TV programme "V" used to freak me out (go look it up)!
