Enchanted Blue Abstract Face Painting Art Process

This abstract portrait started with an acrylic ink drawing using a dropper top. I then sprayed it with water to make the marks more interesting. After that, I drew with charcoal and used a sponge roller to apply a matt medium, which gave it a grungy texture. For the light areas, I used white acrylic paint with a sponge brush, which made me feel bold and loose. Lastly, I added the detail with Neocolor wax pastels.

This is quite an unusual painting for me as I used a baby’s face as starting inspiration. I think the finished piece has an elf / fairy like apearance
